For over sixty years, Castellani Shop has been a leader in the professional furniture sector for retail stores, offices, and industrial environments.
With the growth of the digital channel, Castellani has developed, in collaboration with the software house Cosmobile, an advanced Ecommerce ecosystem capable of offering much more than just an online store.

To support this evolution and improve the management of a very extensive and technical catalog, the company has also chosen to adopt Categora PIM: the platform designed to centralize and optimize product data management.

Castellani Shop’s Requirements

The growth of Ecommerce and the continuous expansion of the product catalog made it necessary to implement a tool capable of managing technical and commercial information more efficiently.

Castellani needed a centralized product data management system that could facilitate information updates and ensure consistency across all digital channels.

A second strategic objective was to improve the quality of product pages, making them more comprehensive and useful for customers. This meant providing more detailed descriptions, highlighting real reviews, and optimizing content for search engines, thereby increasing the site’s organic visibility and the Ecommerce platform’s conversion rate.

Categora PIM for Product Catalog Management

To meet these necessities, the Categora PIM platform was implemented, enabling the centralization and organization of all catalog information within a single environment.

Thanks to this solution, it has been possible to organize and manage an extremely complex catalog, comprising over 30,000 SKUs, characterized by complex technical data and highly diverse product types.

The PIM system also interfaces with the company’s ERP software, enabling automatic synchronization of product master data. New items created in the PIM are then integrated into the ERP system and constantly updated, ensuring consistency of information across the company’s various systems.

Automation of Sales Materials

Another key element of the project involves the automation of sales materials: using the catalog database, the system automatically generates brochures and technical documentation in PDF format, reducing manual labor and speeding up the publication of materials.
